Horizons, groupshow
In June 2021, the Franklin Azzi Endowment Fund will present ‘Horizons’, a new exhibition curated by Domitille d'Orgeval.
The exhibition brings together a dozen artists from the contemporary French scene whose works take a look at reality that takes us on a journey from the infra-ordinary to the extra-ordinary. Oscillating between disenchantment and reverie, mixing reality and fiction, these works plunge us into intimate, urban and wild worlds, into zones of non-place or imaginary territories.
They also sometimes conjure up a climate of strangeness behind an apparent calm, resulting in a veritable transfiguration of the banal.
‘Horizons’ offers a reflection on the loss of utopias, the question of progress, the future of mankind and the imperative need to change our relationship with nature. Bringing a glimmer of hope to horizons that have become non-existent, or suggesting new possibilities, these artists' proposals create another level of reality in which everyone can find avenues to explore in order to rethink the future of the world.
