Eiffel Kiosk

Launched in 2018 by the Paris City Hall, the renewal of autonomous commercial concessions in the capital raises the question of the place and quality of microarchitectures in public spaces. At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, in the heart of an exceptional heritage site, the kiosk designed by the agency prioritizes integration, durability, and functionality over aesthetic concerns.

The compact volume of the kiosk is designed on the principle of modules declined according to their function (guillotine window, full door, fixed panel, glass facade) then assembled. This construction system, inspired by the lightweight pavilions designed by Jean Prouvé in the 1950s, reduces nuisances and ensures optimized assembly/disassembly time. Externally, materials and their implementation have been carefully chosen: corrugated sheet for mechanical strength, glass and solid wood for durability and ease of maintenance. Inside, hyper-functionality is key to facilitating the catering service. Particular attention has been paid to the roof design, which combines several functions in this exposed site: sunshade, rain cover, and signal.
