In collaboration with REDEVCO France, Franklin Azzi Architecture designs a new mixed-use rehabilitation project in the historic heart of Paris, at 126 rue de Rivoli. Reflecting new ways of life, the 13,000m2, 8-storey project will house shops, offices, an urban logistics zone, a hotel, a restaurant and a green roof terrace open to the public, offering a 360-degree view of Paris.
The objectives of the building's restructuring, constructed in 1922 by E. Berthelot and A. et G. Perret Architectes Constructeurs are to refresh and refine a striking and elegant new architectural identity and to update the program to reveal the unique character of the site, in which users will be able to appropriate new uses.
The renovated Haussmann-style building incorporates a high level of environmental and social ambition, and has been awarded BREEAM "Excellent" certification for both the construction and operating phases.
