Franklin Azzi Architecture presents TEMPLE at the exhibition 'Conserve, Adapt, Transmit' at Pavillon de l'Arsenal from October 18, 2022 to March 5, 2023. This project is led by Franklin Azzi in collaboration with Ardian and will host the future headquarters of Ledger.
Located in the heart of the historic Marais, the former telephone exchange built in the 1920s by François Le Cœur has unique assets and a typical industrial and functional architecture of the beginning of the century. Our refurbishment project is based on a desire to preserve and enhance the existing building, and to find the perfect combination between the old and the hyper-contemporary, so that the building can respond sustainably to new uses.
Through the analysis of some 40 renovation, rehabilitation and reconversion parisian projects for which permits have been filed between 2020 and 2022, the exhibition and the book 'Conserve, Adapt, Transmit' wish to give an overview of new construction methods that combine climate issues, heritage preservation and programmes adapted to contemporary expectations.
