Architecture

26 Champs-Élysées

As part of the Champs-Élysées revitalization project, Franklin Azzi was entrusted with the rehabilitation and revitalization of a 12,000 m² through-block linking the avenue to Rue de Ponthieu. Resulting from a reflection spanning more than 20 years (1963-1981) and a project ultimately rejected by its architects—A. Wogenscky and J. Dubuisson—the complex suffered from a heavy heritage despite a quality structural grid.

Reclaiming the purity of this original design was the leitmotif of the rehabilitation project, whose architectural and commercial enhancement was built on three axes: bringing lightness and openness to the facade, clarifying the through-flow, and elevating the inner courtyard into green terraces.
